Custom paintings and commissions
Kate loves to do custom paintings and commissions, creating something really special for her clients. Everything is tailored to suit your requirements, whether its a photographic reference or particular colour palette, Kate will produce something totally unique for you.
The process is simple - just answer a few questions on what you're looking for and Kate will do the rest, keeping you updated along the way!
Please reach me at kchadwickjonesart@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question. Here is a overview of the commission process and other questions you may find useful.
Find reference photos for Kate to work from. This may not be a subject but more of a colour palette and abstract references - remember at this point she just needs something to go on to start the process and to understand the type of composition you are looking for.
Contact Kate via the form on the contact page to share your ideas. Kate will discuss your options re; medium, size, texture etc and make suggestions for you to get the most out of your commission.
If you decide to go ahead with your own special custom painting, then Kate will take a small deposit, and schedule your paintings in the studio.
* Kate can get pretty booked up at peak times so booking early is advised to meet your deadline. Painting time is usually 2 weeks, but it can take up to 2 months to slot you into Kate's schedule.
In the run up to your scheduled dates, Kate will be in touch to confirm composition ideas based on the references you have sent and shared . You will have chance to make any changes and discuss further colour options.
Kate will make sketches based on the agreed composition and start to paint. At this point 50% of the full price will be payable. Kate will send you regular updates so you can follow the progress of your painting.
Once the painting is complete and you are happy, Kate will package the painting ready to ship. At this point the final payment of the remaining 50% will be payable prior to shipping.
Copyright of the painting always remains with the artist; this means you own the physical original painting but not the rights to the image.
